You're Allowed (and Encouraged) to Ask Questions

You're allowed to ask questions to your medical team, such as:

Can you explain my diagnosis in a clearer way?

What do you hope to learn from this test?

What is the long-term plan for managing my condition?

How can we improve my quality of life?

What side effects should I watch out for?

What other treatment options are available?

Where can I learn more about diet and lifestyle changes to improve my health?

The healthcare system can be overwhelming to navigate, and miscommunications are all too common--you or a trusted family member are entitled to ask questions to ensure you understand what's going on and that your healthcare team is respecting your wishes.

Open communication is a key value in my consultations--together we'll discuss your health goals and find the treatment options and self-care tools that best suit you.
